You have to respond in a timely manner or people are going to get a bad opinion about you.

If he has a problem with me then let him email me. I have no freaking problem discussing it PERSONALLY with him!!
Mr. breeze,

Any emails you sent to the shop were sent to Bean and not to me. I have not read any of them and they had no effect on why your avatar was removed. Being a sponsor of the forum also has nothing to do with your avatar either. Your avatar was a full on "bush" shot and as a moderator when I saw it, it had to go. Being a paying member of the forum does not exempt anyone from the rules of the forum, I follow them too.

If you would like to post your full on bush shots, we have a forum for that. Feel free to join in but they are not appropriate as an avatar.

Sorry there was a delay in returning your email. Bean receives hundreds of emails every week and sometimes it takes time to get back to everyone. This is the reason the phone number is in all of the ads and not the email address. There is also an auto responder that is suppose to send an email suggesting a phone call.

Feel free to PM me since you said you have no problem discussing it personally with me.

Sincerely

I am not a sponsor, and I didn't see your questionable avatar. But, if it were questionable, I would have taken it down too.
The rules are here for you to read. We are not going to babysit you and make sure you read every one. That part is up to you. If you break one, you will be dealt with as that particular moderator sees fit. Simple as that. If you have a problem with that, you know where the door is.

Question Avatars

Heres the problem, there are many members that would like to be able to read technical threads at their work, office or at home in front of their wife, kids, parents, coworkers and bosses. As the avatars become more and more racy, people are shying away from reading them in common areas. I know I have to be careful where I am reading threads for this very reason. These are technical threads !!! Not threads in the EAYOR forum that I can choose to avoid. There is a feature to turn off avatars but why should 30,000 members have to shut them off so a few can play. Sorry, it doesn't work that way.

What to do about the problem? We are going to try an honor system first. In other words for the time being we are asking everyone with a racy avatar to change it. It is a simple request and you know who you are.

We have a forum called EAYOR. It allows you to post all the pics you want then anyone that WANTS to look at them can.

If for some reason you are not sure if yours is a problem, just post to this thread and we will let you know. Here is a rule of thumb before you post asking about an avatar, assume the answer is YES it needs to be changed. If you have to ask about more than 1 picture for use as an avatar, your posts will be viewed as antagonizing and avatar privileges could be revoked.

Thanks for everyones cooperation on this matter.

I have included some acceptable avatars, feel free to use them if you wish.
How do I set up an avatar?

Thanks.
