Engine runs fine.... haven't found a problem there. New tires and balancing about 1500 miles ago. Compensator nut coming loose? Changing it out in a few days anyway, I'll know then if that's the culprit. Any ideas????

Wheel weights? Tire going bad (carcass bulge)? Vibration because of a motor mount problem should be rpm dependent rather than speed dependent as you have indicated.
Does the vibration abate if you pull in the clutch lever (allowing the engine to momentarily drop in rpm). If the vibration continues, you might look at speed related items (tires/wheels).
Does the bike have cast or spoke wheels? If spokes, are they all tight?
Have you checked the run out on the wheels (both radial and lateral)? What about the lateral run out on the brake disks? Sometimes folks use the disks for leverage when changing tires and they bend the brake disk.
