Bikes at Guard Drill
We have guard drills this weekend and we turned it into an open house and a recruiting event. My unit got back from Iraq in February after a year. Our drill was held in Salina, Kansas and 5 of us brought our bikes in. We parked them on the drill floor. We had an 05 super glide, 04 1200 roadster, 04 fatboy, 05 wide glide, and my 05 deuce. We put a sign that said "what would you do with your guard check?" another sign beside it said, "we use ours to make a bike payment". Everyone said that they liked my Deuce the best. The crome really sold it and they liked the Vance and Hines Bigshot staggereds too. 4 of us took a cruise through town. It was pretty cool. 2 guys were in the green camoflauge and 2 of us had on our desert uniforms. We had a nice little riding formation. It was good to see support from the community too.
