Women attire, is it a Poser issue?

Was wondering...Are women considered posers if we wear the spurs, the Harley shirts and the leather jackets?

Me, I think its a fashion statement. I'm into Harley fashion and love all the shirts they have out for the ladies. Let's just say it's my style .

This is a legit question. I come across threads in here where guys yell poser if another guy is wearing a Harley shirt and boots. Me personally, I find it to be very attractive. I'm into that kind of stuff, so posers, be POSERS!

If you ask me, worry what the opposite sex thinks first, before you make poser assumptions...(think fashion) LOL!

Carrie, wear what YOU like and don't worry about the rest of the riff-raff.

In general, guys will cut girls a lot of slack in what they wear/don't wear.

However, if you are a serious rider, then wear what will protect you - not a fashion statement.

I don't give a ratz azz about what others think. And... I am a serious rider with a fashion statement.

Your statement, I've highlighted, is very sterotypical(word?).

I mean this in a respectfull way.

Now now, just because a 50 year old woman wants to dress up like an outlaw, they have every right to do so, just ask Harleys marketing dept. Go into any Harley boutique store on a saturday and most of the people buying harley stuff are women , making a "fashion statement". Harley has done a masterful marketing job, in fact I believe most companies are looking at Harley and trying to figure out how to do they same thing with their product.

Yeah, but cowardly trolls like that would never show up in person. Better to stay home, pecking out stuff on the computer, safe in the little bedroom with the clown wallpaper and the men's fitness posters. :p

This caused a real fight in my club during the mid 1970's. The wives wanted to wear their man's colors, and the single guys knew it was a ploy to allow wives some control of the club. Wearing colors elevated that woman's status.

My feeling was this. To be sure, in a 'community property state,' the wife owned half the bike unless the biker owned it pre-nuptial. Here I was ahead, since I owned bikes from my late teens.

But it was the guy who built the bike, maintained it, paid for parts out of HIS HALF of the income and had to withstand the duress og being a prospect. It was a group for male enjoyment, not another quilting bee for the women to enjoy.

Let her get her own bike and buy her own clothes. My wife wears leathers for safety not because my bikes give her status.

Carrie, all women's clothing is poser wear. Wide belt, Denim shirt, bell bottoms. Flower hat, spiked heel, cutoff, bikini top. When you've got a pair of Lee's, tee, and sneakers on, they al match the doo-rag and eyeshadow. I wouldn't have it any other way. If you can pose and be comfortable too..then you got it licked.

Personally i like all the combinations, but i kinda like that old pink bathrobe thing too!
