I just got back from a tour of the northwest and I find myself thinking like Berserker (say it isn't so!)

I am just short of 100,000 miles (will likely happen within the month) and after being 'stranded' for a couple of days waiting on a repair and renting an '09 to keep my occupied, I'm realizing that the old gal is getting tired.

What I can't decide is:

1. Rebuild her, or,
2. Rebuild for around town and purchase a new bike for those month long 10k tours

I don't want to sell it... just don't want to.

I bought my 2006 Street glide in October of 2005. It has 45000 miles one it.
I have added cruise control, a quick detach tour pak and mustang seat and drivers back rest. I also went with a 98 inch engine up grade.
I am very happy with the bike and I plan on keeping it for a long time.

I bought my 06 FLSTC new in August of 05. I now have just over 65,000 miles on it. With that kind of mileage on it and the money I have sunk into it, there is no way I can even come close to getting half of what I have in it. I decided a while back I will keep this bike as long as I'm able to ride. I am considering installing a big bore kit in it this winter, providing that the funds are available.
