OK Im so confused please help! ASAP

I looked throught the catolog and orderd from chicago what I thought would be the right one. Well I take it down to my freindly Dealer to install and the part guy says.. I dont think thats the right one. So I call another delaer in the area and he says yes thats the right one. So Im asking you.. Which one is the right one. Have any of you installed this on Fatboy 2003 or better?

according to the hd website the 44539-02 is the one you need for your bike unless you have the wide tire kit. the second # is for 2000 to 2002 with the wide tire kit, so which one do you have?

I have a 2003 Fatboy. What confuses me is that the 2003 comes with the wider tire but are they talking about the kit or the wider tire?

Shovel13 is correct. the 44414-01 is for Deuces, and Softails with wide tire kit. Your Fatboy doesn't have the wide tire kit. The 44539-02 is the correct part, and it's a few $ cheaper too (woohoo).

I agree! I cant wait to see what this part guy has to tell me today when I head down there. They have stopped working on my bike and its setting down in the corral tell we work this out... ERR!
