Herd Mentality

Ever since HD started this 100 year promo a year ago, the term "herd mentality" keeps popping into my head.

Does anybody else see the relationship?

Hmmm...do hogs run in herds or packs or what?
I get it and agree

What's a chino? Is that a male Chinese? And what'sa docksiders...is that a realtive of dockers or a new breed? So hard to keep up with these trends.

Hey Miles..... just wanted to let you know that we've gotten the message that you sold your Harley and bought another brand. As a matter of fact, we've gotten the message over and over again.

You've got a good bike. Hope you enjoy it, I really do. To each his own, as I've said before. Now maybe you could see your way clear to adopting the same philosophy toward us Harley guys. How 'bout it?

He sold his '03 RK [bought into the "herd mentality"] and after selling it, he bought an aftermarket chopper. Nothing wrong with it, except the wind has shifted direction and it is beginning to smell as if someone is stirring the crock o' doo.

Jedem das Seine, aber..... shouldn't you be out barhopping, since you got a barhopper? Or, perhaps the warranty did not go as far as one hoped?

and how does buying a chopper not fit into the herd mentality? now that the tuttles have become a household name we see more and more choppers hitting the streets everyday. everyone seems to want one. even people who dont ride. interesting. reminds me of the harley mystique thing weve all heard about.
dont get me wrong...i love a good looking custom. there are quite a few out there now. but if you believe buying one is a step away from the herd mentality you are sadly mistaken. you have just joined a different herd.
