Traded an ultra on a Road King because I like to be able to remove the windscreen. Love it.

If I ever get a bagger in addition to my fxr, it will probably be a Road King. That's big enough for me.

They can be whatever you want them to be.Big inch sleepers ridden by grey haired bikers might be percieved as geezer glides but you can bet some of these glides bite back and the riders are afraid of no one when it comes to throttle jockeying.

Maybe we should ASK, IF they Improved During Our old age from 10 years ago?
I rode a Much Younger style bike 10 years ago. A HOT 2000 FXDS with many different builds, 6 speed gear set in the tranny box.
Traded off for my New 09 FLHR.
Yes they have come a long ways from 10 years back.
SO Have I.....

The RK is reserved for those old farts over 65 who want a lighter bike other than the ultra but still want the same suspension for their bony old butts. my 2 cents worth. It's a great bike for anyone.

What's your take?
BTW, I'm 50 and until recently, I rode RK's for the past 5 years.

OK, so after 9 years and 130 posts later was your question answered? Oh wait, I think he has moved on.
Maybe the old fart moved up to a real bagger as he must be very old now...
And yes, a RK is an old mans bike (not for the ladies), Sporties are for girls and blue bikes are for posers.

I did my time on the cruisers and total baggers. I have had two Kawasaki's with nothing but nature in my face and a Goldwing. The two Kaws were nice bikes but tried to tear my head off when I would open them up. The Goldwing was nice also. Had a good ride and all and kept this for thirteen years. I sold it and didn't ride for several years. When I decided to give it another go I started looking at Harley. I liked the look of the RKC and bought an 03 and traded for my 2012 in April. I like it because it looks neat without all the stuff in front of you but gives me a little storage. When I do take off the windshield which is not often, I am reminded why I didn't really like the two go fast bikes. I have nothing against the other Harley models, I just like my RKC. I'm only 63 so I guess I still have two more years until mine is classified as an old mans poser bike.

Therefore, a blue RK is for an old man poser.
