Bike anxiety!
My good friend and dyno tuner that lurks on these pages sent me a pick of a great used 2012 fltrxse Skunk. It has caught my eye since they released it. So now I am going nuts wondering if I should sell/trade my baby to get this thing. Mine is an 07 FLHX that is far from stock. 117" built strong. I am looking for a bit of sanity here. Would one of these cvo bikes be worth it, or should one start with a used Road glide and start from scratch? I thought about wasting the money to convert mine over, but would rather start with a new frame model
.

Yup, the cvo would be less motor than you have now and you pay a lot for those considering your gettin a bike that a bunch of other guys already have. Chit, if your bike is relatively stock looking, a little paint n such and you have the kickass motor AND a more unique bike.

Having a true custom that spanks the new CVO's is worth a lot.The first CVO's tempted me as well until the MOCO quoted me a price.OUCH!! Built a 124" RK that made the CVO look anemic for 1/2 the cost.

Your'e obviously bored with your bike, because you were looking into converting it into a RG. If the price is right, I say, "Go For It". Do some engine mods over the winter or when you have the time and money.

SE bikes can carry a certain stigma with some. Maybe it's envy or something else. I bought a used 2010 FLTRX for 16K and added a 110 upgrade for $2500. I am not into the flash and attention. Also saving $12k over new a new SE makes me happy. Half the fun is adding the accessories yourself.
2010 RGC BLK, SE 110, D&D, SERT, Zippers AC, Dyno, Removable tourpak, Heated hammock seat, HID, plasma rods, Hogtunes 5x7 speakers, Cee Bailey 15" TRSSC, rider's backrest.
