Do the motorcycle speakers hold up to the elements?

I have been wondering. I am thinking about doing some tunes on my bike. But, I want to know if the motorcycle / Marine speakers hold up to the weather? With the bag lid mounts, etc. With my bike sitting outside most of the summer, and put away in the winter. I don't want to keep having to replace them?

they seem to do fine, they are marine grade. and the covers help a little.

I have marine grade speakers on my ski boat. They were installed 4 years ago and live the same if not worse environment as your bike.
