Have to look at it on a case by case bases. If it's running and it's cheap enough. Then maybe it'll be worth the time to strip and completely redo wiring conections etc etc.

You'd have to want to keep the bike also, resale is sh** for price.

I wouldn't touch a salt water pickled bike for all the tea in China, way too many unknowns.

Salt is the word especially if the bike was submerged. The electronics and salt do not mix.As complicated as the wiring is on new machines the prices would have to be right.Wiring harness can cost over $400.00 just for the main depending on the bike, not to mention all the other stuff never designed to be underwater.

Alot of factors to consider.
Submerged in saltwater or freshwater...
EFI or not....
Would I keep the bike the rest of my life or not....

I have two salvage title bikes that went thru the hurricane surge in Texas in '08. An '08 Sporty and a '07 EGC. I have less money in those two bikes than if i would have bought a new Electraglide. They have run flawlessly and not afraid to ride them anywhere. They are hard to sell but if u buy them cheap u can sell them cheap. Give them a good power washing, clean things up and dont look back.
