Compression ratio on a 103ci
I am going to do a 96-103ci conversion, SE flat top pistons, does anyone know the compression ratio? If it is less than 10:1 I will use stock head gasket. Thanks!

The piston is the main factor in determining compression so what ever they advertise the piston as, it'll probably land in that area. There are some other things that can change compression ie: heads, head gaskets, etc.

These are SE flat top pistons, some ppl said 9.5:1, the SE catalogue didn't specify. Should I get the SE high compression head gasket to be safe?

Use a .040 or .030 gasket.

I think I read another post by the OP that said, in addition to getting some warranty work done to the bottom end, he was going to do a big bore kit. Sounded like he is having a bit of trouble with the dealer that's doing the work and he's trying to get his shopping list filled.

If your getting a kit from Jamie , get a cometic .030
If the dealer has a .040 then that is fine also.
Just done use there .054-.060 head gaskets

Thanks man! I only bought the cams, PRs and Tmax autotune from Jamie, no head gaskets. Do you have the part number for the 0.040 gasket? What's the advantage of getting a thinner 0.030 gasket? More compression? If I use a thicker or thiner gasket, I assume the valve adjustment is more or less, correct?
