next month maybe, it'll be even colder. guess we gotta do these
old topics once a year but wtf, obviously/apparently they are fun.
lets break it down a bit....do you wave above your bars or below?
two fingers pointing at the road? open hand held high (the super
friendly thing) or a closed fist straight out (a bit more badass).
anyone out there throw out a peace sign (70s shovel rider wanna
be) for that nostalgic effect? thumbs up in approval of the sound
or look of the approaching bike? the o k sign (two fingers curled
and two straight up) for the ultimate dork effect and/or to
confuse the approaching rider?
just trying to get more out of the dead horse...talk to me.

Halloo. Needed a good laugh. And I got it. As far as the wave, good grief, to me it's no different than walkin' by somebody and noddin' at 'em or sayin' "HEY". If I am feeling great I might stand up on the pegs and shout like a rodeo rider, but I usually just give a big nod, sometimes with a smile and think to myself "man ain't it great to be out here in the open with the wind in yer face, 'stead of bein' cramped up in one o' them cages??".

I think "filterless" has done a damned good job of covering all of the "wave" options that I can remember ... Geez , if we had any more we'd all look like a bunch of third base coaches giving the runner signs to steal home ...

I must be special because I been riding this summer and laying off the keyboard.
Stop by for a visit and it's the SOSDDS.
Wave if you want to...or don't...
I don't care.
Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't.
Get over it and FREEKING RIDE BITCHES.

Now I never heard chaps being call "a set". Only one things comes to mind and I really hope they too are not larkspar blue.
Back to the great subject of "To wave or to not to wave"; here are my detailed thoughts and lengthy explanations on when I wave and when I don't:
1) I w
...oh crap boss is coming, gotta go...
I know it must be real important for everyone to know if\when\why rkc may or may not wave, I'll try to get back to this asap...

Heeeeeeeere we go! Real bikers don't wave right?
So you don't want to be friendly until you're broken down and need some help?
I wave sometimes, and sometimes I don't, but I don't get upset when someone waves at me. Does it anger you when someone smiles at you too?

Kinda the same reason I like riding thru rural Ks. Those country folk'll wave just because. It's nice.

the wave
that little wave can get on your nerves if you run into a pack of Sunday riders...say 5 or 10 of them and they all waive. I return the courtesy but this waving stuff can be annoying at times. I am ok with the head nod but I hate to take my hands off the handlebar. I think if you are out on the highway and not much traffic say Interstates where motorcycles are not common might be a place where the waive is alright...or the gas station, rest stop etc...But I am perfectly fine if they ignore me and save me the hassle of a waive back. If waived upon I always return the greetings, i am not one to just ignore a friendly gesture of a fellow rider, I will return the waive when waived upon

Here we go, time for my rant.....I have a few bikes that I ride, one being my Harley FLHT, now when I ride this bike, I get all the other cruiser folks waving at my like they have nothing better to do with their time, just waving away like the Queen of England.....NOW on the other hand, I also ride a heavily modified DRZ 400, when I am out in the back country scooting right along, the same cruiser queens would not even give me the time of day, never mind getting a wave, aint going to happen, now this is not going to change my ridding habits or style in one way or another, but I do find this funny as I am still the same guy on the same roads, just on my other bike.....and don;t even get me started about when I ride my sport bike, that is an entirely different issue there!
