Water cooled in 2014
Bye-bye airhead!
Word at my local H-D dealer today was all water cooled in 2014 due to emissions.
Long rumored. Long overdue.
Makes sense to me, especially with the complaints over heat issues and the EPA.

There are a few here who spread the same rumors as pertaining to 2013. Didn't happen. Dealers don't know jack schitt about current bikes why should we believe them about future bikes?

LMFAO + 2! Just bought a used low mileage EG Ultra that a guy traded in while waiting for his new 2013 "watercooled" bike to come in. Dealer was saying "no guarantees but they're rumored to be watercooled!" They love to pass that rumor on, wonder how many ordered bikes and were dissappointed?

Doesnt matter to most of us.Too late for me anyway because of old school.I craved Harleys because of their looks, sound,seperate engine and trans,and air cooling.Never was one to take things as they were always modified my vehicles to suit my needs by making the drivetrains user friendly.

Here we go again been saying that for a few years now HD has had a patten for the TC engine with liquid cooled heads for some time.
Will make no difference to me I am waiting on my 2013 to get here. I will ride it. Heat is not big deal.
If 2014 offers something worth buying I could trade.
So many current HD's on the market they will be around longer than any of us will be .

Even if waterheads do come in 14, judging by how HD has done things in the past, I'd bet it would only be on 1 r 2 models. Then ramping up to the rest after that.

I don't see anything changing until there is a new emissions standard to meet. As far as I remember the new law passed a few years ago regarding mileage and emissions does not apply to 2 wheel motorcycles. But I was wrong once last week.....

Does riding in rain count as being water cooled???? If it does then mine has been water cooled for years. What they gonna do, put on a different type water cooler????

The guy at my HD dealer CONFIRMED IT. He's the lot boy, but he knows his stuff. He said it's time to trade/sell your old air-cooled sled NOW, because once the water cooled line-up shows up next year, it will be too late. By then, EVERYONE will be trying to dump their old a/c models. Prices for your used bike will fall off a cliff.
Do yourself a favor and take it from me. SELL NOW! The 2014s will be water cooled. I have it on solid inside intel. You can trust me. Sell, sell, sell....

Ok, so Harley has been the gold standard in motorcycles for a century, and just because there is a water cooled model (  This is something that has been rumored for decades but never really researched. ) comes along the value of the air cooled models fall off like the grand canyon? Oh yeah, the lot boy told you?
