120R Slight Problem

Okay so I keep burning tire and popping wheelies at will. Rolling the throttle and blowing by my friends. More recent trrips to the gas station. Enjoying the hell out of riding my 120r powered Ultra so much my other bike sits there gathering dust.

Anyone else with a 120r experiencing the same or other issues?

Do you have a photo so we may better diagnose the root cause?

Is the 120 as hot or hotter than the 110 as far as operating temperatures? The 110's I've ridden could probably keep my house warm in the middle of winter.

Those are the best kind of issues to have!

I can somewhat relate with my recent 107 build. I haven't been burning any tires or popping any wheelies. I'm sure it'll do both but at my age i tend to be a little more conservative. My problem is the bike does not want to go slow. It's real easy to run through the gears and be doing 70 mph before you even think about hitting 5th gear. Everyone around me seems to be going in slow motion.

Those 120+ cubic inch motors have that affect on us throttle jockeys.Keep the rubber side down.

I'm curious, does the 120R motor allow you to keep your cruise control?? Some of the earlier builds did not. How about it??

I propose a final solution. You'll just have to put a 120R into the "other bike" as well. Then, if cause and effect are truly at play here, you will ride both bikes in the same proportions as before.

This is the only logical solution

when using a cable throttle T/B....the SE 58mm will have to be modified to use cruise,as it isnt set up for cruise.
I used a HPI cable T/B because I wanted a no hassle cruise setup. all HPI cable T/B'S are set up for cruise. and I just thought the HPI was a better choice.

when using TBW T/B the SE 58 will work,as the cruise is handled via the ECU.

Thanks Stroker, I suspected my TBW was ECU oriented for the Cruise but wasn't sure. I know the older cable type needed special attention. I sold my 2010 Wide glide a couple weeks ago and was seriously considering the 120R for the FLHX. I do take long trips and do need the cruise control.
