Wide glide/ Low rider question

Looking at a new bike. Undecided between Wide Glide and Dyna Low Rider. I have test driven them both and am leaning toward the Wide Glide, although its pretty much a toss up. Generally, short hops of 50 miles or so with the occassional 300 mile day.

Like to hear your thoughts on which bike you might buy.

OK all joking aside...They are basically the same animal. (IF you're talking about a Dyna WG, as opposed to the Softail WG) The WG has wider front forks. Some people thinks this looks better. Some don't. Some people think there is a handling issue with the WG, correctable with a fork brace, which I do not have on mine. For the riding you described, I don't think its an issue at all. Mine handles just fine, thank you very much.

My legs are on the short side, so I would go with the Low Rider.

Tufboy- Bet I'm shorter than you. Not a deal-breaker.

Swodo- Go with the WG, or maybe go with the Low Rider. Thing is, you can't lose either way.

Biggest differences are seat height and forward controls. The Wide Glide is a tiny bit longer and holds a tad more gas.

Either one will do, sit them both and take the one that makes your heart go pitter-patter. Nice thing is you can lower the Wide Glide if you need to, or you can put a Wide-Glide front end and forward controls on the Lowrider if you want to.

hey, just get one of each!lol We have both. I have a lowrider and the OM has a wideglide. He likes to ride mine on occasion and says there are things about each of them that he loves. You can't really go wrong either way.

I like them both, but when push comes to shove, I like the tack on the low rider. I would hate a tach on my handlebars. I also thought the low rider was a little cheaper.
