Auto Tuners?????

I'm thinking about replacing my Power Commander III with an auto tuner. I've been looking at Power Commander V with Auto Tuner and Zipper's Thunder Max. Looking for any and all information you guys might have.

Thanks,
Bobby

If any of these are as good as S&S IST ignition then by all means pick one up.The beauty of S&S is you can change anything in or on the motor and the ignition will adjust itself and learn the way you ride to maximise the ignition curve, all the while keeping the motor out of spark knock.

Got a buddy in Pa.The tmax drove him nutz & he sold it!Bike was tuning all over the place. BEWARE:Caution,do your home work.Everything I have read on these so called SELF tuning devises fall short of expectations. No flame intended but I think even PowerCommander come out with another tuning devise to replace the auto tune?
Again,I don't want to get into a Family Feud but check what the survey says:
Most folks are running a TTS & finding a great tuner.Regards,Tom

ive had most of them pc ll, pclllr, pcv/auto tune, tmax, s.e. downloads, now using tts, The tts is my fav. so far, So much more options, u can autotune the afr's/ve tables and you can autotune the spark data using the datamaster program that is included to get the correct spark tables, Many will say you cant autotune the spark for a particular map, Yes you Can! U can change ratios for both tires and gearing changes, just click for changing injectors and cubic in changes, uses stock exh o2 sensors, dealer has them. sooooo much more, the others will get u a good tune, but not many options to customize the engines performance, Constant free software updates some others have this to, The down side to tts is its married to the ecm permanent, where others can be transferred Need i say any more?

I have the T-Max in all my bikes and have had no problems with them... No auto tune system out there will give you a 100% tune, only a good tuner and a dyno can do that no matter what tuner you are using... I'm looking at this twin tec tuner for my dresser with the pro-charger blower... I ran the Trask Turbo on my 05 V-Rod for three years and it dyno'd out at 155 hp right out the box with the map provided by Nick Trask... I might have got 160 out of it with a tuner dialing it in more but I was happy with the 155... I haven't ran the PCV with auto tune so I can't comment either way on it, I've heard good and bad on it just like T-Max... I've ran the PCIII USB, Vance & Hines Fuel Pak and the Screaming Eagle Race Tuner... I'll stick with T-Max or the daytona tuner... Here's the link for the twinteck... http://www.daytona-twintec.com/index.html

Tbones is right no tuner will get you 100 % tts gets you the closest, but a dyno will get you that last hidden hp and trq.

In my case with forced induction on both my dresser and v-rod, TTS doesn't fit the bill... Us boost junkies don't have a lot of options out there for tuners...

They will all have a problem if you won't take the time to learn how to use them.

I recently went down this road when doing my 107 build. I had a PCV installed with stage one before the build and it worked okay. I wanted to make sure i got the best tune available with the 107 so i did some research. Turns out most of the knowledgable and respected tuners recommend the TTS, so that's what i went with. The 107 build and tune posted some great numbers and it's a blast to ride, so i'm happy.

Dynojet is coming out with a new tuning device that flashes the ECU rather than using a piggy-back unit. The Dynojet Power Vision should be released next week. It will have two different auto tune modes, one uses the AT-100 with wide-band O2 sensors the other uses the stock narrow-band 02 sensors. http://www.fuelmotousa.com/powervision.htm
