Whereabouts of Nassau Bahamas HD

I will be in Nassau over the weekend and want to stop in at the local dealership, anyone know if it is within walking distance of the cruiseships? I have the opportunity to do a Harley ride on the Island, but the $200 for 3 hours is a little high.

Yeah easily. Just inside the fence to the left. look for the flag. Was there this past weekend.

No kidding. When we were there a couple of years ago, they had one bike sitting there as a display - on flat tires. Good stock of T-shirts, we picked up some nice ones. And yeah, it's within a couple minutes' walk from the docks.

Hey, while you're there... can ya pick me up a box of Montecristo #3? I'm almost out again. Time for another cruise!

It is right near the HardRock cafe.... You can buy HD shirts with Bahama logo all over the place. Yes near cruise ship dock. Also the bus will run you around the island for about a buck.

My sister was on a cruise that stopped there in the spring. She thought it would be a good idea to pick me up a shirt there. Only place she used her credit card on the cruise, then mysteriously she was was using it in Spain a week later. The credit card company red flagged the purchases and called her about it. They cancelled that card and issued a new card. Not saying it was the dealership fault per say but it happened!

Some things change, some things stay the same.

I lived in Nassau, Bahamas for a few years growing up (Dad was the manager at Hyatt Hotel - Cable Beach) and there was no Hard Rock Cafe', or Starbucks, or H-D tee shirt "dealership". Realize this was during the mid-70s and tourism there was almost tolerable.

There was however rampant crime all over the island, from Parliament House to the outhouse.

oh and if you get a chance got to Atlantis and check out the sports book! One of the best ones I have been too. And if you really got the time and a couple of bucks get a half day at the Atlantis spa and go check out the outside spa area--- really it is God like!
