Does anyone remember...
The writings of J.J. Solari, back when Easyriders USED to be a righteous mag? I can remember laughing so hard at some of his fiction that I couldn't catch my breath! I would check the magazine racks every month in anticipation of the next issue of ER, just to see if J.J. was in it that month, & also for the new Dave Mann centerfold, some of which are still up in my garage. As far as I'm concerned, Mann & Solari MADE Easyriders what it was back then, the ultimate magazine of righteousness. Even Iron Horse, which held onto righteousness for a long time, has now become a cookie cutter trendy magazine. Shame. Will try some bookstores for J.J.'s new book "When Bikers Meet Humans" tomorrow. He never fails to disappoint!

Yea,everyone was rewarded with a slice of "raisin pie" when they did something good for someone. They never actually said what raisin pie was, but I guess if you use your imagination it could be almost anything.

Don't forget guys like Dr. Twatburger. I go thru the old rags from time to time and laugh my ass off. Since the mid 80's, they have went downhill and IMHO turn into a rub mag. It would be nice if they would print a book of all the stories and such. Bet it would sell.

Thanks for the correction! I just remember that her humor went way outside the box for the era!
