I have the carbon fiber non dot helmet that they make. I love it, and it's better made then most of the dot models out there. I ordered 3 of the Carbon Fiber head trip helmets, and could never get one that fit right. They are so hard on the inside , and they gave me a headache if I wore it longer than 10 minutes. Most people love them, and they are good helmets. But, my head just would not set right in the DOT model they make.

Just a word form the wise. I had their polo helmet, and it conctantly tried to blow off my head, due to the bill on it. Plus , the strapping tries to loosen up a little with a lot of wind.

I had the d rings. That is the only way their helmet will be DOT , is with D rings. For some reason it would try to slide back on my head, and I have a windshield on my bike. I returned 3 of the DOT head trip helmets , trying to find one that fit right. None ever did, so I settled for the non DOT helmet. It is still carbon fiber, but the inside is softer on my big ol pumpkin head. hahaha

Let me clarify something here. It was not the Dring chin strap that was coming loose. It was the D ring adjustment on each side of the helmet that kept making the helmet slide back on my head. The main reason though , for going to their non DOT , was the fact that it felt like putting hard plastic salad bowl on my head. I think it's my funky head, cause other guys wear em and don't have any problems. Good luck on yours.

Good choice of helmet. I have purchased 2 of their shorties and have been totally satisfied with them. Never had them try to lift off at highway speeds which makes them golden for me. They will send you several different thicknesses of foam so make sure you find the right thickness for your head. It makes all the difference. The customer service is awesome too.

In order to be DOT, it has to have D-Rings. They send a quick-disconnect with their helmets.
I've had mine for about 18 months. I had to send the original one back due to my oval (rather than round) head. They reshaped a new helmet and sent it back out to me within a couple of days. They're a great company, and their helmets rock.

I bought two color matched to my bike, had to return one for replacement due to sizing. No questions asked... they are great at what they do!
