Laura wants to know Dino or Syn?
1982 Anniversary or Commemorative Model

Did Harley Davidson produce an 83rd anniversary model(s) in 1982?
If so, what were the differences between them and the regular '82 models?

That would be a 79th Anniversary model, since they were founded in 1903.

I know for a fact that my Dad has an XLS with an eagle medallion on the front fender for a "commerative edition". Mmmm my first ride and my first love... an '82 Roadster...

It sounds like someone is "Blowing sunshine up your skirt" to get more money out of a bike they have for sale.

In short Ms. Laura, no they did not, and it was good of you to ask before gettin' taken.

It depends what model the 82 is that you are talking about.

In 1982 they had 2 Anniversary Sportsters for the 25th year of the Sportster model

82-XLSA Anniversary Roadster: 25th Anniversary graphics and special paperwork about bike's history signed by Chairman Vaughn Beals, President Charlie Thompson, and Styling Vice President Willie C. Davidson

82-XLHA Anniversary Sportster: 25th Anniversary graphics and special paperwork about bike's history signed by Chairman Vaughn Beals, President Charlie Thompson, and Styling Vice President Willie C. Davidson

Markings included a front fender emblem and a battery cover.

The 82 commemorative models with the fender and caliper medallions were nick named Eagle soars alone editions. 82 was Harley's first production year after the buy out from AMF. I do not know how many were produced. The only two I have seen in person had unique VIN numbers and other details separating them from other 82 models.

had a 82 roadster

My first Harley was an 82 Anniv Roadster...25th year of sporty's. Rode for one year then wanted something I could modify, HD dealer took it in trade & last I knew they still have it. This was some 15 years ago. I paid 3500 & they gave me 4000 toward the dyna I bought.
