Saw the New HD Trike Today...

I went ot Westmeninster HD to have them put some air in my rear shocks and to buy a air pump.. and anyways I was talking to Nickt eh service guy and I asked him if that was the new trike, he said yeh they just got them in.... they had a couple others there they were putting together.. and they had two trikes sitting there that belonged to some peeps they were the conversion trikes.. I can;t even list the differences between the two, but the new hd trike was pretty darn nice.

I got to work and I was like ... hey mom... I found your next ride

I remeber when I got my first bike when I was 30 she was like take me for a ride, I can go buy a helmet and a leather jacket... I was like NO lololol ... I told that story at lunch today with my co-workers ...

If you get over to a dealer this weekend check them out ...

I saw one two weeks ago at Brunswick H-D. They were rolling it onto the showroom floor as I came in. Looks nice, comfy & kinda "geezerish."
Electronic reverse set-up from the factory...
All the bells & whistles...
At $33K, a tad more than my bank account will handle under the current circumstances, but maybe someday...
It didn't stay on thefloor for 24 hours...
They may get another in the Feb-Mar time frame, but the Sales Mgr said that each dealer was only gonna get 2, maybe 3 for the 2009 sales year...

I rode with Ron & Maureen Hutchenson on the way to Milwaukee on the Northern route from Seattle Washington. Ron is a VP at the motor company. Being with the factory guys for over a week was a great experience. They are all down to earth, super people. Ron and his wife were on a new Tri-Glide. It was a red 96 ci 6 speed w/reverse. They went just as fast as everyopne else and they had a lot of room for storage. They said that it was very smooth and comfortable. www.quickthrottle.com has an interview with Ron in the Notrhwest and Midwest October issues. By the way, my rat bike and I are on the cover of the Midwest edition, October issue, taken when I was in Harley's 105 th parade in Milwaukee. For that story and more riding tales check out www.ratbikemilo.com.

OldMsocko is right it's a 103ci i was on it last week. When you are sitting on it it feels just like an ultra classic which is what it is after all. The biggest difference is when you pull up to your first traffic light and you still put your feet down like an idiot then you remember the two back tires. I've never ridden one on twisties but i wonder how much the front end would push since you can't lean it over? I'm 51 now but i could see me riding one in 10 or 15 more years.

Lehman is setting up the trikes but the converson is not a standard converson. Several of the componets were redesigned for Harley.

Click "Reply" then scroll down to "Manage Attachments". Just make sure the pic is not too big. Or you can use a host like PhotoBucket and they will host and resize automatically.
