Cross Bones vs Fat Bob
I am FULLY AWARE that H-D Cross Bones and H-D Fat Bob are completely different bikes, they even do not belong to the same "family": the first one is Softail and the second is Dyna. OK.
So, several months ago my friend and myself had an opportunity to test the both rides. So, I rode Fat Bob, he rode Cross bones. During the ride, my friend constantly complained, he did not like the Cross Bones, but I told him "to shut the f*ck up", since I so enjoyed the ride on the Fat Bob. So we "switched" bikes, I got the Cross Bones, he got the Fat Bob.
Unbelievable, I was so surprised, my friend was right, I got an impression the the Cross Bones was so uncomfortable and not very reliable bike, since my friend enjoyed the Fat Bob.
So, my friend's and my conclusion is: Cross Bones - terrible bike, Fat Bob - excellent bike.
What do you think?

Last I checked BOTh the Fat Boy & The Cross Bones were Softails
Can't say I like either one very much. The rear tires on most all the new Harleys are way to wide and look like crap to me JMHO

what i dont understand is where the unreliable comment came from on your short ride...did it break down or did you just figure that because the bike wasnt a good fit for you it wouldnt last?

apparently attention to detail isnt your strong point...although its good you noticed the larger rear tires on the new bikes...

Kinda a no-brainer.....
I have only sat on the cross bones on the showroom floor & hated it. Looks cool, but looks ain't everything.

and there we have it folks...an a$$ for every seat...
although opinions are fine everyone should consider that there are plenty of people who may enjoy what you may not...and you might want to temper your opinion about it with a bit of tact...possibly imagining what it might feel like if the bike you love is described as a piece of sh!t by someone else...just a thought...

I like the fact that HD is trying new things. How it ultimatley works will depend on the very subjective opionions of those who ride them. Like Victory's weird Vision, even though they don't appeal to me, I like seeing the effort.

Based solely upon this post I have gained new insight.
Obviously everyone who buys a Crossbones is a complete idiot.
I won't wave to them.

Not true Mr. Tom......Softails and dynas taste the same. (I do prefer a little b-b-cue sauce though)
