Changing HandleBar on 2006 Road King Classic

I am getting ready to change the handlebars on my road king. This may seem like a bumb question but how do you remove the cover over the four bolts which hold the handlebars? I don't want to mark up the chrome.

Lift up the plastic ring around the lock, take out the phillips screws and Presto, it will come off. After you take the nachelle trim out from inside the headlight bucket. It is all spelled out in the service manual.

Get the manual and it's pretty straight forward.

I put on the road glide bars, direct replacement with a slight bend added to the hard brake line, now my wrists don't go numb.

Cheers

this link is very helpful for changing bars on the RK
