Hell, I don't remember.... You can usually pick up cables for about 50-60 bucks each for braided if you look. Don't know how you're going to extend your wiring but, if you do it all yourself, you'll save a bundle.

I've got 16" chubby's on my road king and, I love them and, would never have it any other way. With apes, you either love them or hate them. I love mine.

If you can't get the whole thing done for under 500.00, something is wrong.

It's the labor that will kill you on this kind of stuff.... running the cables and extending the wiring take time... If you do it all yourself, you're golden.

Check these guys for cables.

http://www.barnettclutches.com/products/cables.aspx

You can either splice and solder or, I believe on the HD's you can get wiring harness extendors but, I may be talking out of my ass on this.

This kind of thing can be done by anyone and, there's no sense in paying somebody to do it with a little effort and a few phone calls to the guys that have the cables etc. you can get it done yourself. It's not work that takes a lot of talent to accomplish and, it takes time so, this is the kind of job you really want to do yourself.

I'm about to change out the bars on my big dog..... That's going to be more a a pain in the ass because I have to have custom bars made or I'll be spending an additional 1000.00 on controls since the handlebars are 1 3/16ths and nobody else has that size. LOL

Before you spend money on bars, check these guys out. I really liked talking to the guy that owns the place.

http://www.brcustomcycles.com/

I called and talked to the guy that makes them... ( and, he'll make anything you want )If you truly want a custom set of bars, these guys rock.

I paid about $150-175 for my pscyho chubby 16" apes. I don't remember cable cost...but would think around $60-80. Add in a case a beer and some grub for your bud....

If you were going to a shop, I believe an HD dealer originally quoted me 8 hours labor...

It can be a bit tedious, but you'll love the end result, and friends that wrench rock!!!
