This past Saturday I went on a ride with a group and the highest price we saw here on the Big Island was 4.93 for 91 octane.

I was thankful........why?.........I was filling up my bike and not my 25 gallon Yukon.

The way I see it, I thank God that I can appreciate his creation from OUTSIDE the cage!!

Aloha,
H

Just saw a report on TV "Getting ripped off at the pump".
California allows a certain amount of discrepancy in there pump readings, which could ad up to $50,000 in a year.
That makes reason #354 why I would not live in CA.

I'll be darned it I give my premium fuel to the person behind me waiting to fill up his hybrid.
Actually, if the pump is working correctly, if you squeeze the handle after it is shut off, you won't get anything. All pumps have an anti-drain valve that is designed to keep the hose packed for the next customer. That way the next guy does not have to pay to fill the hose you emptied, because you are charged based on what goes through the meter, not what comes out of the nozzle.

I disagree. Of the 5 stations in my area of rural Maine, 4 take between 23 and 32 cents worth to fill the hose before any comes from the nozzle. I have asked the owners of the stations and 1 got pissed and the rest had no answer!! Pennies add up!!

Gas has gone down some and we don't even remember that the last time it was this high we were looking around for a vehicle with high mpg.

Oh happy day, gas is cheap again!

Yeah, right!

Did you contact your state's Corporation Commission (Weights and Measures....whatever) and give them specifics? They bust stations here for that.
