New bikes in dealers?
I was told just last week that the 2009 bikes wouldnt hit the dealerships until mid august but a guy i work with last night just talked to a local dealer and they claim to have already sold two 09 bikes and more will be in soon.

It's typical that many dealers already have 09's in stock - most likely still in crates and will not promote them until they have sold most of their 08' inventory.

The 09 Sportsters were released early due to lack of 08's. I went to my dealer yesterday and he took me in back to show me a newly arrived 09 SE Road Glide since i put a down on one for next quarter. I foresee these being sold before they ever hit the floor!!! Unfortunately was the Pumpkin!!!!

The Sporty's have been out for almost 2 weeks. The big twins will be arriving in our store tomorrow.

My (My?) My dealer also said mid August. If they sold any, I doubt the bikes were delivered yet....

I was in a dealer yesterday that said they had already received a couple 09 touring bikes. Their inventory was already pretty low.

My dealer has 09 touring bikes in stock. The 08's are discounted but not by much. I'm going to wait and see what happens in a month or so.

Any idea on the pricing of the FLHTC ?
How much of an increase ?
"typically" how much do the previous leftovers get reduced ?

Pricing looks consistant with last year. They may drop 1k from 08's to move them (dressers).

I just sat on the new 09' Road King Saturday. Sweet 180 rear tire and pipes. I can see the heat management issue fading away, the new pipes turn under the frame, just in front of the rear tire. Also looks like the bike idles much smoother, no shaking. The spark plug wires are also routed into the front of the battery box. Is that new? They also have a few 09 Sportsters for sale.
