Thumbs up Daytona pics!

What a trip! I'm definitely going back. I loved everything about the trip, except the rain. When it rains it pours. I stayed at Holiday Inn on New Symerna beach. Right off the ocean. The stay was only 15 min away from Daytona with a great scenic view of all the riders on the streets. Favorite place to eat was Ruby Tuesdays, only because Hooters was SO packed. Main St. was the best. A little crowded, but if your into bikes, then it was biker heaven. Every bike you could think of was there. Alot of diverse people there all with the same interest, MOTORCYCLES. Nothing can get better than that. Saw a lot of cute guys, but nothing came of it. Saw a lot of bearded ones, tattooed ones, fat ones, etc, etc... Seeing a few of the lady riders on custom choppers was also a highlight. I kept saying to myself, that will be me in the near future. I also got a few ideas about what to add and what not to add on my bike. Some of the bikes had LED lights highlighting there motors in different colors. I liked that. Not too much lights, just enough to make the chrome glow of the motor is fine with me.

I'v got a few pics to post so bare with me.

This pic was a couple getting ready to take off, but the lady was not quite ready. As he took off, the passenger slipped. She managed to stay on. At the same time, he tried to grab her and hold on to the bike at the same time. They ended up in the median and dropping the bike, just so they could avoid the on coming traffic on the otherside. Luckily the traffic was at a stand still. These folks are ok. No assistance was needed, but he sure was not a happy camper. A little pissed of to say the least. Kind of let his frustrations on the passenger, but was just a freak accident. Getting these types of photoes are a bit rare, but I never want to see anybody go through with what these folks went through.

This guy was a nut! When asked why he was burning the rubber, he just said he has another on order. I'm assuming it was another bike.

I thought Bike Week this year was a big let down, the weather had a lot to do with it. Talked to a lot of vendors, they stated that sales were way off, some were staring at losses in coming down this year.

Daytona has got to move Bike Week to later in March, we need a better chance at having good weather.

At least we know the Myrtle Beach Show is coming in May. I think it is becoming the best all around event, just a mtter fo time and a HD Dealer will get set up on Ocean Blvd........we wish!!

Thanks for the pics Carrie, glad you had a good time. If you think Daytona was good you need to go to Sturgis! Daytona is about partying, Sturgis is about riding and partying. And don't miss Wyoming Wednesday in Huelett

I thought we were always supposed to make sure passenger was settled and ready before we took off. Don't know why he was bitching at his lady if he screwed up. Guess he didn't want to look bad in eyes of his buddies, huh?
