I use Allstate. Your rate depends on your location, driving record, age, etc. I pay about $500 a year for full coverage on my 03 Softail, 04 Big Dog and 80 shovel.

Wow. I think full coverage on my '03 Ultra runs about $240 or so with State Farm.

My insurance is through Progressive, and I'm satisfied with the cost of the premium. I pay it annually so I don't specifically recall what I paid last year, but it was under $300 for full coverage. Of course, I've never had to file a claim so I have no way to rate their service to the account after a crash.

I use Markel through HD. This year they cut my premium in half plus I have a lot of accessory coverage and I also have full road-side services.

I haven't ever made a claim or used the RS services so that will determine how good their service is but the price is right.

I went back to Nationwide this year. The same company I have had my cars with for years and my home every since I bought it some years ago also. They didn't have good rates on motorcycles until recently but the rates are amazing now and if you have not checked them out I would before I bought. I got 6k in addons along with the bike and all at my age for 500 for a full year. There are others that have an amount lower than mine but after finding out their age that explained it. Once again, shop around. Every since Progressive and Geico came in and made rates competitive all the others had to follow suit.

Believe it or not AAA was the best price that I could get. They are trying to get a new customer base.

Might want to do a second look at State Farm. I had been with them for about 27 years with my cars and two with my bikes. When I purchased my 06 Road King, the insurance agent told me that SF did not have an option for medical payments. I said for who? She told me that if I didn't have really good health insurance, that the best thing I could hope for if I were involved in an accident was if another insured (well insured) driver ran into me. I again asked if I could purchase an addendum to my policy for medical payments and was told by State Farm that they did not have provision for medical payment coverage for motorcycles at all. I changed to Geico. Got way more coverage for way less in payments, for all of my vehicles. They even beat out Progressive and Florida Farm Bureau by a "Country mile".

I have Progressive and have been very impressed. I had an at fault accident last summer which totaled my bike and a squad car. I spent a few days in the hospital, and when I got out, they had a check waiting for me for plenty more than what I wanted for the bike before. Even after the accident, my coverage on my '04 road king and a 700 cc ATV is still less than $50/mo. No company gives personal injury coverage without special order, most don't at all. After my crash, through Progressive, I bought $10k in PIP for about $10/mo, but my agent didn't even know they would do that. Be careful and know ahead of time what you have.

I had them years ago. It seems alot of insruance companys have good rates, at first. I noticed this more when I was younger. Rates would go up for no reason. Now they are probably still going up every year, but I am getting older so going down.

I am paying around 240. Gonna vary by state, alot. You can call 2 differant agents in your area, and still have it vary by 100%. So shop around.

I have seen snowmobile insurance vary from 200-900. Some places just don't have good rates for certain items. American Family which I have for my house, told me to try else where for my bike.

How very odd. My State Farm agent was quite insistent that we take the medical payment coverage that they include as standard on every policy. We have it on all four cages, the Harley and even the Vespa - where it accounts for fully half the annual premium! Must be an example of the fact that insurance laws, and insurance company policies, vary greatly from one state to the next.

The other thing, is go straigh to the horse mouth. Call around get quotes. Lots of great of info on this site, but I have seen alot of things, especially in chat, that have never been true for me.

No ideo about the medical coverage. But if you want to know what your insurance agent will require ask him, don't ask me. Varies from state to state, and I think some people don't pay attention.

Make sure that you have PIP. A friend of mine and his wife stopped at a red light with some gravel on the road. When he put his feet down the bike went over. They went to the hosiptal and were not covered because of no PIP ther health insurance would not pay because it was an motorcycle accident. Yes 250 a year sounds great, but should you get injured with no one else involved and need medical atention you will be paying thousands.

state farm 100/300/100 ( I do have medical with them just like debotkn , but I also have great blue cross blue shield ) plus state farm doesn't charge extra for extras ...they are automatically covered. I pay 360 a year and have a real live agent right in town.
I would stay away from the lizard , I have a friend that HAD them , they scurried into a hole when he needed them ,
