[quote=Y2K]I'll second that , Mike's been doing my work since long before he was bought out by Latus.
They don't come any sharper IMO..

My vote is for Mike Stegmann. The guy knows his stuff.
Don't take my word, check out his comments on a wide range of topics at the following:

I can personally recommend Gary Betherum. He used to tune at World Thunder Empire, but recently left to start his own dyno tuning shop in Van Nuys, CA. He should be open for business by mid to late August. In addition to bikes, he will be tuning cars and trucks. His new dynos will be able to tune 2WD and 4WD.

I also can recommend Danny at Glendale Harley

Rick Stetson at HMP

Rick Stetson at HMP in Northboro, Ma on Rt 9. Very good with PC and has Dynojet 250. He is a hired tuner for a lot of drag race teams.

SCIESZKA POWER INC. in Maryland

I can recommend:

SCIESZKA POWER INC.
1609 Bel Air Rd #3, Fallston, MD
410/838-0511.
Steve is the owner and dyno man, and Brian is a quality service advisor. And, they give you the SERT map when finished.

I spoke to him about 4 weeks ago, he took his time to explain stage I and II changes - he is not anal like other dealership mechanics who will only recommend steaming beagle parts.
I understand he will be there at least part-time. you will need an appointment if you want him to do it

Just saying they do 'em...

...as I don't see any other posts in this particular area. Mike's Famous, 2 locations, do 'em and have up to date dyno's, etc. Main/original Mike's: New Castle, DE (just below Wilmington). 2nd Mike's: Smyrna, DE (bit north of Dover). Can hook-up w/either @ 1-800-FAMOUS-HD, (or 302-659-6400 local for Smyrna).

Just had mine done by Nick at Custom Performance in Phoenix.

Asked for a "street tune" (my phrase) and got it. Pulls strong and steadily; no hesitation or "stuttering" in the 2 to 3K rpm range that I had from the canned map. No popping on de-acceleration when downshifting and I averaged 44mpg @ 70mph on the ride home.

Highly recommended.

regards

I took this in for some fine tuning to get rid of pinging. Needless to say this guy ROCKS!!! I have a whole new respect for my stroker 103. I recommend this guy to anyone within a few hours drive time. He loves to tune SERT and is TOP-NOTCH...

Doc“ (Central Florida) - Extremely competent tuner, he teaches Fuel Management.

A very precise tuner, he ran 97 runs on the dyno to get it perfect – I know some dealers who only do 3 - 6 runs, but charge full price. The bike runs just right now.

Doc does it as a kind of hobby, and if you can get him to tune yours, you will be very satisfied.

He also did my build up:

95" cubic inch,
Andrews 37G cams
Gear Drive – Doc procured a slightly larger gear from Andrews– No Gear Whine!
Baisley Head work
Baisley Spring
V&H Propipe

Link to pictures of my build:

Doc took pictures and emailed me all through the build (this doesn’t show all pics) – I think I really got lucky with this guy.

Also, an acquaintance of mine had Doc look at his “dealer” build – Doc found some piston rings were installed upside down and the cylinders were over-torqued to the point of distortion.
