Up and running Hyperformanc/R&R motor
Ok gang , i have 535 miles on the new motor, I can tell already it has more BALLS than the ole RP motor. This engine is so mild mannered but is just wanting to kick some butt. I am holding back untill i get a 1,000 miles and then ill whack it good. i did have a ole friend that use to try me with the ole Rp motor and i would thrash him in second and on. I couldnt hold back this past sun. when all the others were running from light to light so i just had to jump in and see what happens. OOOOooo ye it not only hurt his feelings more than i use to but now there is no comparison. All i could tell him was it is not even broke in yet lol. So many thanks go to Randy at Hyperformanc. The motor is doing just as he said it would do and more. Cant wait to get it to Wayne at Speeds Performance for the dyno. Ill keep a update for all as i go ahead. thanks Booggerbe

Are you keeping the displacement a secret?
What did they do to your oil pump?

dont be so sure. this opens a question-----------the 124 if properly built and tuned will overwhelm the chassis and tire, while the 98 will be pushing forward.
just how would you sugest this race to happen?

A well built 98 is nothing to shake a stick at.

I would like to see how my bagger w/98 runs against a 117 or 124 in a bagger from a dead stop 1/4 mile race. hope they can put it to the ground before its to late. Lol

Agreed. But, clay brings up a good point......in a 1/4 mile race, will the 124 stick? If it does, there is no question.

now------------lets move to 1/8 mile. the 124 gets whipped even worse! and guess what------most traffic races are 1/8 mile at best.
so, in street racing, a quick revvin 98 will smoke a quick tire smokin 124.
on a 1/4 mile drag, if the 124 has a tire /chassis combo that will hook, he will win. SLIGHTLY!

Last summer I did some street racing with a 124 in a roadglide and I was tearin him a new ass out of the hole, and he never could catch me, so he asked for a slow roll on punch, he did a little better but couldnt quite catch me at the end. Boy I sure was havin alot of fun.

Lol!!!! you guys are funny. It's obvious you been running into the wrong guys.A 1/8 mile is no race ,give the 124 a chance to come out the hole.A well trained guy who can come out the hole mildly get the 124 moving then turn it on and your little 98 is toast.Plenty guys out there like this.do us a favor and dont meet one of those guys, you will get you a s s handed to you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
