<<I suspect your 2001 wasn't actually making 110/110. I know a lot of really well built 95's with the 37 cam that have had some really good attention to the details and very, very, very few break 100hp on a legit dyno.>>.

Big ditto to that...especially with sbc heads.

I'm getting about the same hp from my 103 , not as much as my 95 carbed was either , but adequate for now.

Now, who built this 103?

There are a LOT of details in your build that make or break if you get 94 hp or 103hp. The Andrews 54 cam is a "mild" cam with a 42* IVC and 0.555" lift. Do you actually know through measurement that you are getting the compression you think? Did the cam get degreed in or checked? I notice there was zero intake/t.b. work done. What are the particulars on the SBC heads? What is the volume of the combustion chamber? What was the deck height measurement?

The true duals are not helping your cause either, especially on the bottom end torque build which helps set the stage for the top end charge.

And as others have mentioned, I would doubt that the tune is complete.

Don't take any of this the wrong way please, just trying to help you get to the bottom of the issue so you can know the truth.

all the best!
That is what I am dying to know, who did this 103 build?

totenkopf,

you are probably right about the 110/110 BUt, yesterday we put the two bikes one to one and he beat me all day long!!! I guess I will invest a bit more in a tuning made by a known professional hoping to get something more out of it..

Thanks for all your help!

Frewly,

the same local shop that did my 95 ci, the same shop I have successfully used in the past 15 years..

SBC (Charlie) is very much known and respected. He makes a great product, I doubt very much that I can blame his head work for this... I more and more suspect the Andrews 54 and Rinehart true dual combination is not a winner as 2 into 1 and Andrews 37....

I just did a 95 inch dyna twinky for a friend using SBC`s VORTEC heads w/flat tops (1:94 intake valves 9:5 to 1 w/0.030thds cometic head gaskets) and the andrews tw37g w/mikuni42 and a tuned VH 2into1... here was the conclusion after i roadtested it after the tune.... a badly brusied tailbone from being launched out of the seat onto the tail light/license plate with all the power this bike now makes...! And he`s comin back next week to have me put 3:37 primary gearing in it.... Ehawwwwww...! Now i`ll have to strap my azz to the seat when i check out the new gearing after we get it in his bike....lol

My own personal advice.... (SBC Charlie knows his stuff)
I dont think a tw37 will work that good with hugely ported heads (if your`s are...?)

I dont think you have a good tune goin on with only 7 runs. It takes me alot more than that when I do tune.

You have evaded all of my questions. Can't help you until I get answers with actual data.
