I know these are more straws but we are starting to run out.

Its well within the spec`s, its better than most i`ve seen

yeah i agree, i`m all out of ideas... most likely going to put the stocker back in it real soon

thanks buddie

Keep us informed on the outcome of putting the original parts back in.
The one thing that keeps going through my mind. is the oil pan gasket the oil passage goes through the gasket surface. If the gasket were damaged at the oil port it could suck air. one way to test this theory out would be to overfill the oil tank so that the level is well above the joint between upper and lower halves.
Good luck
Chris

Hi Chris...
i have already had the oil pan out of the bike few days ago, didnt find anything wrong, the original gasket was fine... i reinstalled the pan & new gasket, new oil & filter. I had also put the original camplate/pump back in a few days ago to see if i had the same issues, and the original pump has great pressure and flow. So i`m kinda ruling out everything before the camchest on back to the oilpan.

I will surely let you guys know what i find out when i find out the problem with this SE Billit pump kit.

A big HUGE word of thanks to you ALL, on this forum,
for ALL your help & idea`s, i am forever greatful to you all.

End of Story for the SE Billit Camplate/Oilpump Kit...!

Didnt find anything for the last time.... even after installing the "support kit"
so i`m out over $400 bucks for this SE billet camplate & oilpump kit
Special ordered, not refundable...! Makes a nice conversation piece for my garage wall though.

Put the stock camplate (w/baisley spring) and stock oilpump back in the bike, oil light out, great oil pressure again....
now its time to ride...!

Ya`ll ride safe, and thanks to you all once again for all your help and advice...!

Larry send the camplate and pump to R&R CYCLES ask Reggie to look at it to see if he can figure it out... R&R likes a challenge all it will cost you is the shipping...

The SE Billit Camplate & Oil Pump kit Live`s...!!!!
Hey guys, i just couldnt let this alone an let it beat me.... this afternoon, (before i was about to make the camplate my new expensive wall hanger...lol) i ripped into this camplate again.... i was just so conviced that, that was where the problem was at... and sure as all mighty, i found a blocked port in the camplate, and thats why it wasnt getting any oil to the pump. (man i looked inside that thing a million times, never saw anything before this time) Good reason why the pump and the chest cavity stayed so dry. It looked like it just wasnt cleaned out very well after the machining process. It was a big machined chip that got stuck in it... lodged all the way accross the port when ever it tried sucking oil. (these camplates are anodized black... you cant see sheit inside of them... only way i saw down inside was, i made a fiber optic light, stuck it down EVERY port hole, thats when i saw something inside of it.) Anyway, i got the debris out of it, pulled the bike back down and put the SE kit back in, and holy shidski, oil pressure instantly...!!! Before i actually ran the engine, i pulled the oil pressure switch on it before i turned it over and hooked a gauge to it... spun the motor over until i saw the gauge build up pressure, then i knew for sure that i found the EVIL problem. The motor might have turned over twice and the pressure popped right up nicely...! Cold engine was 60psi - Warm was 55psi

Hey you guyz, thankyou so very very very much for stickin this out with me... as i`ve said all along, i am forever greatful to you all for your help, thoughts and idea`s. I knew this was baffling you guys too... i just HAD to find out what the hell was going on with this thing, i just KNEW it had to be something retarded. For a few momments at time`s, i thought i was really loosen my mind over this weird episode.

Glad that you solved the mystery. Imagine the metal chip would have ground up your engine once it came loose. That would have been an even more complex riddle.

Have fun riding the beats

Happy you had the satisfaction of finding the problem. I used to work for a hydraulic systems manufacturer. Their claim to fame was building complex manifolds. They had a at least five people who's job was making sure all holes were connected and of coarse ones that should not be connected. They used fiber optic lights pipe cleaners and carbide burs on 14" long 1/8" shafts to get inside to clean up that the drills missed. I think the MOCO needs a letter from you and what you found.

Hi Chris
i got lucky buddy, thats all. Had i not built a little fiber optic light to look down inside, i would have never seen it sitting inside the camplate. The chip was just about right AT the intake side of where the pump sits on the camplate, but you couldnt even see the chip at the pump side either. Kinda fell between the spot where you cant see anything from either end. Lucky find bro, just lucky.

Yes, the MoCo is getting a letter on what happened and what i found. My only hope is, that they`ll look into it and fix the inspection precedure`s with the vendor that makes these camplates so that knowbody else has to go thru this ever again. I`m sure it was just a fluke that it happened, BUT still, the hell i went thru...!!!!! Anyhow, i feel really good about it bro, at least i know i`m still good at buildin motors after all this went down. It surely belittled me i tell ya...lol. I just couldnt convince my self that it was something i was doing wrong... i`ve built hundreds of motors in my life, and i wasnt about to let this one beat me...lol, or be the last one i ever built or give up on.

Chris... thankyou for all you`ve done brother... i owe you
