ATTN: Engine Experts

I have an '07 Dyna Wide Glide with stage 1 and Python pipes with the Powerchamber in it (same as the V&H BSS). Next week I'm getting a big bore 103 kit installed with polished heads and S&S 585 gear drive cams. The bike will also be Dyno tuned after install. What should I expect in terms of hp and torque gains? The stage 1 dyno tune read 74hp and 83.5 torque. Also, I'd like to keep the same pipes on it (with the stock baffles) but the shop thinks that after the work I might need to change the baffles. Any thoughts? And if so, any suggestions on some other baffles and where to get them?
Thanks much! Your input is appreciated! Scott

If your dyno operator knows how to read a graph, one or two pulls should reveal to him if you need more or less exhaust flow. For a person to say you have to change the baffle in the pipe either has to have lots of experience with that package or very knowledgable on the exhaust system which brings me to this point....I haven't seen too much of this experience in the dealers I have trained, now that's not to say there isn't some good techs running the dyno in the dealers because there are.....but in the same breath there aren't that many.
I'll let the rest of the board remark on your choice of cams and heads, I have my thoughts but I'm too bias on the Woods and Andrews line to give you a fair assesment on the S&S line of cams.
God Luck

no expert, still a grasshopper, but i wouldnt change the baffle-------i would change the pipes. take advantage of the usable tq you will have with the stroked 103, dont let those mid-high rpm/ mediocre pipes flatline your smile factor.

not very much info to go on ..when they polish the heads are they going to work the chambers in any way.IE: port, set the cc and flow them. if their just going to to polish them. going bigger will yeils some results but in order to take advantage of the 103 everything else has to be set up also.
0.30hg
check clearence for piston to valve
cant say how much youll gain only can tell you good luck on the build.
