You need a 12v remote, open it up and where the button contacts are, solder a small wire across them, then where the battery goes in the back, remove the battery, solder a red wire on the + post, and a black wire on the - post where the battery touches to when it is in there. Ground the black one and attach the red one to the high beam wire. Presto, when you turn on the high beam the door will open/close. No worry about the power being on all the time when you have the high beams on either, as it only sends a quick signal when it gets power. IE: on/off/on.... I put mine back together, wired it in, taped it up good, secured it with ties to the inside of the headlight housing. Put headlight back in and it has been running like that for 3 years with no problems. It is cool to just put your high beam on a block away and watch the door go up.... The door opener was $16.00 at Lowes...

A 45 minute job at most....
