Vance & Hines Pipes For The V-ROD

Has anyone heard any feedback on these pipes for a V-Rod yet? How well do they perform and how do they sound?

Right now I am running the SE 16GA double barrel pipes. They perform pretty well and sound ok, but they sound weak compared to other Harleys on the road.

Steve removes the inner baffle and leaves the outer in tact. Adds ponys and sounds GREAT. Add a PCMIIIr and an SE (K&N) AF, and and get ready to rock.

Check out the pipes here.

Do you know if they are removing the fiberglass packing material around the baffles?

Are you sure those are ther V&H Big Shots? Those look nothing like the Big Shots! They look like a joke on the V-Rod. I will be very dis-appointed if those are V&H's only pipes for the V-Rod.

Except for the fact that they do seem to sit higher on the bike to me they look like the SE2 16 gauge or the D&D pipes.

I have the 16 gauge pipes on my bike which connect directly to the header pipes like the V&H pipes seem to do. The D&D's on the other hand I think are mufflers only and connect BEHIND the stock muffler collector assembly.

The V&H pipes seem to look like the rear chrome covers were improperly installed since the inner pipes show from the rear.

It would be interesting to see which ones actually deliver the best performance.

Regards.
