noises from engine.

Hi there everyone. My rod with 10,000 miles on it has slowly developed a couple noises that are probably normal but i thoght i would ask if anyone else has these.
the first noise is on acceleration (lightly that is) i can occasionally hear some chatter that i am guessing is the valve chains but not totally sure.
The other noise is faint chirpping that also seems to be comming from the valve train.
I am just wondering if anyone else has experienced these types of noises and if it is normal.
Thanks Dan:

Most of the time when people hear a chatter noise on acceleration it is usually the belt hitting the belt guard, so try tightening the belt. You can make sure that it is the belt by doing this. When riding at the normal speed that it does it, feel the top of the belt guard, then accelerate. You will feel the belt hitting the guard when it chatters. If not then it must be something else. Hope this helps.

The noise upon acceleration could also be rocks and/or gravel sitting in the radiator housing vibrating around.
