Winter boredom==time to mod the VROD

Looking at the MoCo's 2004 SE mods and charts, the SE mods don't seem to give much in the way of bang for the $$$. The hp/tq gains seem really small.

I'm starting on the topless mod and removing the rear taillights today, so next week sometime i'd like to get started on some performance mods. I'm at least ordering the MoCo's 28T kit and SE air filter but i'm undecided on to what else. My dealer gives me 10% off, not too big of a deal but hell, I'm taking advantage of it while it lasts.

Until I recover from paying my (huge) Federal Income tax, what do you guys recommend while keeping the dollars under $2000?

thx!

Damn, are those NOS bottles on the airbox???

OK, here's a rough draft shopping list:

TurboTEc Pipes [originally wanted the SE 16g VMODs]
HD RaceTuner
SE air cleaner
HD 28T kit or VMOD 28T pulley
Rizoma belt guard
Rear signal ReLo kit

Does the RT v3.0 come with a download for the speed calibration for the 28T or is that done some other way? I'll have to dig around for a RT map for all this I suppose?

No, You'll need the RT version 3.5 or the "-01B" part number to be able to reset the speedo calibration.

Hi, sory for a little off topic, but could sb explain me what are pros and cons of 28T pulley.
I've already heard different opinion about it, I mean some like it and some does not.

I have the stock (30T) pulley and its going to stay that way. I never stall it at lights (even with 170# wifey on the back), but I drove a super stiff clutch BSA for 30 years, so maybe I'm trained. At 70 I'm turning 4krpm. Don't want any more. In a couple of years there will no doubt be a 6 speed. Maybe I'll trade up then. I like the long legs.
