Puff of smoke on startup

Have an "03" V-Rod with 300 miles on it did anyone see any smoking on startup when your bike was fairly new ? The smoke is blue oil type kinda like when I was driving older Chevys that had bad valve seals and you would see a puff of smoke on strartup. Mine will shoot a puff of smoke on startup after sitting overnight this is my 1st new Harley that has done this. I have had 4 new HD's....

I think mine puffed for a very short period during break-in start-ups. Yes, I babied it during break-in. I remember telling the dealer that the mileage was down around 25mpg. Once the rings seated, the mpg shot up to 44 and it hasn't smoked since. You may want to look inside the airbox. You shouldnt see any evidence of oil on the clean side of the air cleaner unless you've been abusing it on break-in.
Good riding
'03 anniv colors 7500mi.

Mine too. A cr@p load of oil disappearing also. I also have a rebuilt engine and still have same prob. Smoke very noticable when I leave *** bikes in the dust. Guess it's because they are blinded by the smoke and can't see the road.
