Yamaha V-star 650 Bore Kit

I own a 2006 yamaha v-star 650, and i would like to know if anyone knows of a bore or stroke kit that fits it. It just doesn't have enough power. My dad owns a 2007 screamin eagle roadking, and I know its out of the question to keep up with him but i would still like to lessen the gap between us when accelerating. thanks for the help.

You probably are very happy with your bike or wouldn't consider doing this. If you are going to keep the bike for a long time maybe the cost would be worth considering. Why don't you consider looking into a 1200 Sporty or Kawasaki Mean Streak. I just think you are going to take a beating at trade in time. This is just my opinion for your consideration.

Hi,

I would suggest that you trade your V-Star with a
Harley Sportster 883R or 1200 Custom year 2001-2003
they are runing great and you got a lot of fun with it.

There is a forum for road star warriors and those guys do a fair amount of modding. You might search over there and see if someone has come up with anything for your model. Kinda doubtful there's much out there. Unless you're into fabbing your own stuff, a trade might be the less expensive direction... +2 what someone already said - NOS is always good for a "quick pick-me-up!"

Give patrick racing a call they do head porting for those. We have done some work on them with head work, cams, larger injectors, and big bore kits. He will be able to fill you in on what you need.

Really?? Just bought the OL a 650 Classic. I found another forum dedicated to these bikes and from what I understand they're already a bored out 535 cc thats used in the Virago line and there's not much left to mill...

I'd def be interested to know what he's doing...

Natedog, PM me if you want the forum URL for the 650 V-Star, lots of good info there about mods and other stuff......

Bubba Neil wants to know Dino or Syn?
I think they also have a 900 V-star just released, on the other hand plenty of 06 RoadLiner's for 10-11k on showroom floors.
Of course dad would have a hard time keepin up to you then.
