can i use the 07 cam plate and oil pump in an 06 softail with gear driven cams?

Yes if you purchased the Andrews conversion cams and at that point you have the 07 hydra roller chain drive, not gear drive.

ok so its possible with the andrews cams i've seen that in an article i was wondering ifthhey can be retrofitted into a softail w/ gear cams

new guy--- whats your opinion of the plain outer bearings>? i know the cars have run em for years on overhead cam motors, but i changed cams in my bike and freaked when i saw the lack of outer roller bearings.
