anyone hopped up a cvo 110" yet?

A customer of ours wants more out of his 07 CVO ultra classic 110 incher. we already went with a PCIII and samson slip ons (thats what he wanted). I just dont know what will work on an engine of that size. With compression at anemic 9.3:1 on a GOOD day, and, rumour has it, combustion chambers like a shovelhead, im told he needs to scrap his heads, put a set of reworked 88/96 heads, THEN cam it. wonder what milling his original heads and stuffing a 59g in there would do?
91hp/109tq not enough? he traded in a stock evo dresser with a million miles on it....

For a 110", I think that is low. There are lots of us here with nice 95"/98" builds that make better power than that.

How about Zipper's red shift 575 cams that were originally designed as a bolt in for the 103 CVO motors with the same crappy heads and compression.

With a good set of 2-1 exhaust, and a compentent TUNE, guys are getting low to mid teens in torque......but more importantly...the curve starts way lower and is not "peaky".
Should work good in a 110 also...and give better #s cause of the extra displacement.

Key words being BUILDS. Hell, I have a BUILT shovelhead that gives the garden variety 95s a run lol.
this is a stock, 9:1 compression, stock heads, garbage EPA friendly cams, with s/e slips and PCIII.
Not sticking up for the moco in any way, but damn...those numbers arent THAT bad for an air cooled pushrod v-twin......

P.S.- 95 ft/lbs at 2000rpms aint too shabby....

SNUFFY wants to know Dino or Syn?
got my first look at the 110 heads last night
customer droped off a bike to re work
they appear to be the same castings as the cvo 103 and the 103 + heads
intake is 2.08 exh 1.623
the cumbustion chamber is not like the cvo 103 or the + chamber
buts its not a bath tub either
it has qwench bands not the qwench strip around the chmaber
but it still has a deep chamber at the valves
ports are big and round like the + heads but do not have the vane in the intake
stock head looks like it is going to apear to flow in the 180,s( was drinking some and did not really want to flow any thing so i half a$$ed set them up then half a$$ed cc them ) i just wanted to see them so i stayed late to take the heads off
and chamber size looks like its going to hit around mid 80,s cc
going to cc and finish mount the heads to the flow bench in the next few days after i finish this 113 build for some good readings
has a electric comp release in the squish band of the head not the chamber
release gos into the top of the head not by the plug
looks like the compresion ratio is around 9.0:1 or so
i just took the heads off
and have not did any thing with the cyl or pistons yet
they are flat tops
have not decided what to do to this mill as of yet waiting to see more clearly
then see what theese heads will do on a bench

If you get time would you check deck height front and rear? I've checked a couple of 96"ers and front was down about .025 and rear was down about .035
Thanx

HDWRENCH wants to know Dino or Syn?
Snuffy

I have some flow numbers on a set CVO heads

That 2.08 valve 271 Front head 278 rear head as well very slow veolcity down low in the 170 ft per sec, it start to pick up in the upper lift range

VS the R&R cast head with a 1.94 that flows 302 and 220 ft per second

The CVO head is going to be a very slow revving head.

the cvo 110 has the 2.08 valve so i knew the volocity was not going to be there
the cvo 103 with the 1.9 is not that much better nothing to get excited abought for sure starting porting yesterday things are looking better but i still have no smile as yet
the cumbustion chamber leaves alot to be said for as well
both my customers are not willing to change heads
there mistake not mine and they are aware of it
although not still sure what we are going to do with the 110 build yet
its not the open chamber like the 103 so probly not going to be able to use the s.e 113 stuff
wich will not hurt my feelings
the last time i gave out my shop info i got in truble
but i do not think telling you where i am at will hurt
im north of battle creek
