Adjustable Pushrods and Covers

I bought a cheap set of adjustable pushrods (Maddog), now I'm regretting it. The new cover lowers don't fit over the existing uppers. So what's the best way to go here. New SE adj. pushrods? S&S? Can I make the existing covers work? Other aftermarket sets? Could I install the adj. ones without the covers, remove the rocker arms and measure length to order correct non-adjustable rods. Any help is very welcome (except "I told you so").

Rather than buying a whole S.E. Quick-Install kit you could just buy the covers.

Pushrod cover, lower (4) # 17938-83
Keeper, pushrod spring cover (4) #17634-99

covers cost 67.95. for the brand we use with no problems. Many of the cheap kits that I see are of very poor quality. Not to say that the colony kits that we get are made here in the USA( I do not know where they are made) but they always fit nover leak and work as stated.

Great idea! Are these part numbers for 1 or 4? (I've screwed up on that before also.) Are these the shorter lowers and longer keepers for adjustables? These fit a 04 FLSTCI? Sorry for lots of questions, I guess I should be asking these of my local stealer. Thanks for your help!

This sounds very good also. I'm gonna call your number and get some ordered up. Thanks!
