SERT Install

Anybody have the dealer do the Stage 1 air cleaner and SERT install on their bike? If so, how many hours did they charge you for labor? My dealer told me it was going to be four hours (I've already done the exhaust install) which seems like quite a bit of time for something that seems fairly simple. I know I should do it myself but we are going on vacation and I wanted to leave it with them and have it done by the time I get home. But I was figuring it wouldn't be more than an hour or two.

The guy is screwing you unless he is going to spend three hours on the dyno after he installs the AC and SERT!

No dyno involved... I figured it was inflated quite a bit.

Assuming that you did the exhaust install yourself, the A/C will be even easier and less time.......

As for the SERT, you want to have that on your own computer anyway

D I Y............ Just Do It

I agree. If there's no dyno time involved, they're charging you an extra 3.5 hours for nothing.. well maybe nothing.. that's about how long it takes to read the instructions that come with the SERT. All the install consists of is plugging the SERT dongle into your computer and the ecm, then downloading the map for your setup.
