Anyone make any good tq./hp numbers with 2/2 pipes?

I know this has but has any one made good numbers with large dia. pipes say v/h bigshots? I already purchase a v/h pro-pipe just not real sure if I will like the looks of a 2/1 pipe on a classic style bike.. I know if I am seeking power I should forget the looks but......
Thanks for any info. Chuck

Funny thing, most of the pics I see of old bikes are two into 1. I would think the bag would hide it a little too. Some of the ones I have seen really make the egnine stand out too. The crossover is lower then stock.

I know thats not what your looking for.

Not sure about those particular pipes, but as for 2:2 in general, Cycle Shack "M" series consistently make good power over a range of builds and HDMD got good power from SEIIs. You can check Dewey's site for dynos.

Check out the link to my Dyno
It'll back up what FXDRYDR said about the SE II slip ons on stock pipes.

Sure, a good tuner can make decent numbers with that pipe. But he'll make better numbers with a better pipe. Expect to lose low end torque and probably some horsepower too......Bill

And V&H big shots are not large diameter 2-2 pipes....they look big with the heat shields.. Bassani Pro streets are the biggest diameter 2-2 pipes I'm aware of. Big City Thunder doesnt even make Thunder Monster Baffles big enough to fit them. I reccomned them only for more "serious" 95" and larger builds on lighter bikes where the small loss of low end torque is not a concern..they can make big Hp numbers with correct tuning if that is your game.

I ran a set of Samson sawed offs and had good results.Dyno tuned
with lollypops installed.

Mile Hi is on a distinguished road
2 into2

I'm using Rush slip ons with the 2" baffle on stock FXD headers . 99.5 torque on mild 95 with ported stock heads and .510 lift cam. Same torque with very similar curve as I did with the D&D fatcat 2-1. Lost a few hp after 5000 rpm with the 2-2. Rush sound much better. You can get 1&3/4 or 2&1/4 inch baffles in these. Easy to swap out the baffles.

I have a fairly aggressive 95" build with hp/tq over 100/100.
Had V&H BSS and decided to go with the Propipe.
Guess what? The hp and tq actually went down a bit.
Remapped with the same tuner.
However, the tq. (according to the chart) does come on a bit sooner.
The Propipe is quieter at startup and cruising.
Bottom line: I think the BSS are somewhat under rated for performance.
I'm not going back to them because i like the more mellow sound.
As a side note, I have 3.37 gearing which helps get thru any possible
tq loss with the BSS.
