- Yes, the '06 heads are slightly better, due to the reworked exhaust port flowing slightly better. The rest of hte head is the same as '05.
- Going to 95" or 98" is only a cylinder and piston switch, so yes it's basically the same as the 1200 conversion.
- Gear drive cams, will, or will not, depending on who you talk to, give you a gain of a few HP over chain drive cams due to less resistance from not having chains to move. I've seen some evidence that suggests this is so, and other evidence that suggests it isn't. There is the benefit of not having cam chain tensioners to check, or perhaps to wear out early as some seem to do. I have gear drive cams and am glad I have them, others don't bother.
