Clutch Pack Assy question

I'm installing the friction discs and seperator plates into the new 3.37 gearing basket/hub assy. I know the first step is to drop in the narrow clutch disc, then the spring seat, then the spring. My question is that shouldn't the narrow spring that rests on that narrow seat be installed with the concave side (dished side) facing upwards towards the the rest of the friction discs and seperator plates. Correct?

Thanks.

according to my '02 service manual

3. Install damper spring (8) on clutch hub with the concave side out (facing away from damper spring seat).

also...
4. Install a steel plate (6) with round edge outward and then a friction plate (5) on the clutch hub. Install 7 remaining in same manner...
