Please don't say two weeks when your shoping for a place to send parts and then when they have your stuff, O next week they should be finished., they got my stuff on feb 18th, it's the 24th of Mar.....PLEASE..I'm sure I'll be happy when I get them back I know they do good work....Jamie

You're not alone. I ordered set of 95 cylinders, pistons, & gaskets from one of the fairly popular places on a Friday and was told they would bore them on Saturday and mail out on Monday. The following Monday I figured I would have them but nothing. Called on Tuesday and was told still needed to hone cylinders and would go out on Wednesday. The following Wednesday still nothing. Called again and was told they found that the piston was cracked and they got it all done and were packing it as we spoke and would go out that day. Finally got it to my door the 2nd Friday after that. Basically was told would ship in 3 days so expected to have no later than 10 days. Actually took 28. It really would of been no big deal if someone would of least called and let me know what was going on but got nothing unless I called. Most of these places claim to not have the time to call or whatever excuse but to me thats just bad business to not deliver when promised. Most likely next time I will probably stick with local machine shop and avoid the problem.

it would seem at times some of the people just have a hell of a time telling you truth right off the git go, and one lie leads to another.

dragforce is an unknown quantity at this point
The problem with most motorcycle shops

in my opinion, is they dont appreciate our business. They seem to expect it. The first time I ever had someone tell me that "the customer isnt always right" was at a harley davidson shop. That may indeed be true, but it was the very first time a person in a store every actually told that to me. That was the day after I bought my first harley. I fell in love with the motorcyle but to this day I really do not like going out and dealing with the people I have to buy from. So a very important part of the harley experience, just like the sound of pipes and subtle vibration , is the people we decide to purchase our products from.

AND THEN THERE IS DEWEY....
Except for Dewey. I can honestly say that doing business with dewey is an absolute pleasure. And, as I contemplate spending more money on motorcycle stuff I am now beginning to realize that who you do business with is a very important ingredient and should not be ignored when you are looking to improve your bike.

Man, no truer words spoken!
http://www.nallinracing.com/

My heads were a lot of confusion in the beginning, and as they were in transit. BEFORE they hit the shop Aaron Wilson was in contact with me when he saw a red flag. He and I must have communicated 15 times by e-mail and at least 4 phone calls. I learned a lot from him on theory of port size, including the exhaust side of things, and he was patient with me.

That said.........

A lot of confusion in the beging because of the person on the phone, and I, not being able to communicate to one another

Timing was off from the promised turn around, BUT I had bought new, used, jugs and heads to send, so the hardship was not there of not being able to ride. Would recommend this to anyone.
I was only out about 10 days from promised delivery.

However the turn around times that are being talked about in this thread and others, would be totally unacceptable to me.

Aaron notified me it was happening. And then said he would do the finish on my heads and jugs himself. So including gapping the rings (that little diamond wheel gizmo's makes quick work of that, especially if the person has don it a few hundred times with the same rings) and finally setting the pistons in the jugs. And HE did my flow bench work, and the final hand shape up on the heads. So I have no complaints, when you get the best person in the business you choose to spend money with to hand do your parts, you let them.

I guess what I am saying is once I knew what was going on, it was OK and in my case I got some bonus.

I just think these people have growing pains.

It is clear they have great products for great prices through HDWRENCH.

Brian Nallin knows how to do head work and has been around for some time. His theory, and workmanship on some Buell and Sportster heads were renowned in those circles. So it must be they got (are) swamped. Hope they make it right for you guys, and get whatever they need to straightened out and prosper.

They are not the only ones who mess up on timing and stuff

Always good for prices if there are more players in the game though

I see some of these cylinder head posts and I swear some of you must work for them. Why not just put one of there ads in your signature? It will save you having to type so much in every post.

This isn't meant to flame anyone, but I hope you get a commissions for all the sales work you do. (again not directed at anyone in particular)

There are alot of Good and/or Excellent head porters out there. This board seems so focused on 2 or 3 ONLY and everyone else is Junk. It's a shame that you guys limit yourself so much. I understand that they may have a good rep and also do good work, but I have heard a few stories on here now that would send me looking elsewhere.

It also amazes me that no one ever seems to talk about Branch, arguable the best there is. Maybe I am just too new to the board and have missed those posts.

Again Don't take this wrong, it is just an observation. NOT A FLAME!!

This is what I "speculate" is happening with Brian Nallin who is not Nallin Racing any longer, but IS Rev Performance.

I will endorse Aaron Wilson, who IS Nallin Racings owner, because he was great.

I will also spend any future money with him if I can. Just trying to pass on good work and great customer service.

We all know there are a bunch of good porter's out there, but I can only speak to the ones I have personally used.

Got a friend that deals with Zippers in Md...seems to never have any "issues" and is always very pleased with the work...just what I've seen...

If you opted for a set of exchange heads, as I did, you should have them very quickly. I think I got mine two weeks to the day from when I sent mine out. It takes a couple days longer since they inspect your heads before they do an exchange and they shipped mine UPS which doesn't deliver on weekends.

The work LOOKED first rate to me...but I'm no expert. I'm happy with them.

I got mine from a company that's been around over a hundred years. Bought the ported heads over the counter, no wait at all. They performed as advertised so I'm very happy. They also stand behind their product and have outlets world wide. Most people around here talk trash about them every chance they get but they keep riding them. No, I don't work for them but I have been known to wear their t-shirts.

Sounds all too familiar. I would keep on them and call them everyday. I think they finally got tired of me calling on a daily basis and just got them done. Don't waste your time with Steve up there. I think the only one you can get anywhere with is Brian. Good luck.
