103 to 107 using cvo 103 heads and andrews 55 cams question
hi evryone.....ive been searching the forum for info but not really finding exactly what im looking for. i have a 06 cvo fatboy that due to a slipped crank has destroyed the cam bearings and thus the rest of my engine.we were able to reuse the jugs by boring to mak 107 and new pistons crank has been trued and welded and left side timkin conversion. i was really curious if anyone else had done the same with there cvo se103? im using a andrews 55 cams and reusing my cvo script 103 heads.jus curious if anyone else has used this combination.compression will be set aprox 10-10.5 to 1 and i do intend to hav the heads ported. if anyone has used this, what kinda of hp/trq did you end up with? if possible i would really like to see some dyno charts to check out the curve.head porter recomendations for these script heads would also be appreciated .thank you for your help

Hey just wanted to wish you luck with your build.
I have one the guys off this site building my 107 as we speek after the crank twised in my 05 fatboy. What a mess and a bad day that was. We are doing close to what you are, except andrews 54g cams and My heads done By WFO is the plan.

What exhaust? Exhaust / cams together make up the curve of the dyno sheet .
Nothing wrong with that combo. Get your heads ported and setup for the 10.5 compression or the 55 cams will be soft. (@10.0:1)
The heads work nice IMO . They have bigger valves stock, and respond real well stock, and even better ported.

Those heads are very under rated, this is a sheet from an 06 Fatboy. Using a 106 S&S kit, Red shift 575's and a Fatcat pipe. The lower run line is tuned with no headwork and the 575's at 103 inch, These heads were done by Bigboyz, wish I could remember the head cc
This sheet is the same bike, same model heads that my buddy bought from another forum member that were ported by Deweys with the install of a bigger intake valve. The bike is now a 120 inch with T-man 590 cams, same pipe and hpi 55 throttle body. Best hold on with this one.

this a 107ci ("Autoworker"-Steve's) 55 cams supertrapp 2-1 2010 stock heads ported by big boyz head porting.
the red is with 10.5compression
the blue is with 10.0 IIRC
the green is a stage 1 cvo103 I tuned with R/H T/H'S
Bruce Bean (BigBoyz) ported the heads and tuned the 107 bike.
we just ran it on my dyno...well because autoworker is 8 up and I like good bourbon ....

On my 03 bagger, I went from 88" to 103" with SE heads(cleaned up and 85cc's) and S&S 585g cams and loved it 118 tq and 114 hp, wanted more after awhile and did the Axtell 107" kit, had the heads checked and decked and closed up the cc's to 82, with the same 585g cams and earlier style propipe the hp went to 118 and the tq jumped up to 130 ft lbs..loved that motor and reliable as a brick.

Just so you all know, you can't compare those dyno charts, apples and oranges! Some are SAE horse power and some are STD horse power. You need to be careful of what correction factor is used. STD will always read higher than SAE.
Just an FYI

This is very true, but the value in the shape of the lines at the start of the pull and the Peak RPM at the end of the Pull still have relevance do they not?
That and there are a variety of correction factors.
Have to admit its a pretty nice build.
Tq curve has plenty of smiles in it.

sure wish i could see those dyno sheets. however they are posting them, i can't see them. they are just a white box with a red 'x' in them. guess my computer won't read that or my filter won't allow it.

Just so you know and FYI
Look again ! I posted sae and std on my sheets . You want uncorrected din IS0? Also?
If you can't look at a dyno sheet and see the correction factor , then know what the sae would be compared to a std correction factor , you need to let someone else take care of your social media Internet program.

Thanks for doing those runs for me Jim.
That blue one the bike was a 106in. and the red one is at 107in.
The added compression from the slight ci. increase and decked heads made quite a seat of the pants difference in the lower rpms.

Those are all nice combos and look like fun rides. I just my build can end up in that area. We will see what kinda magic BVBOB can work!
