Which driveline for 120R in a rigid

Im into pans and shovels but have seen how relatively cheap the 120R's are and of course the day dreaming has started about a rigid with one of these in. Thinking the best way to achieve this would be to buy a std softail, strip it using primary, gearbox, wheels, front end, tins, oil bag, wiring etc etc unless there would be a better way to proceed? Or would a dyna (want to run mids) or touring be a better option although pretty keen not to have to rubber mount the driveline. Would have a frame made up to suit. Thanks for any and all advice.

last I checked rigids were only set up for softail twin cam mounting.
been a year ago since i checked though.

Thanks mate - frame would be custom built to suit what's best. Dyna or Softie etc?

You can solid mount a dyna, it has been done. You might want to consider 2" tubes.

Don't even think about a rubber mount Dyna or Softail configureation in a ridgid frame it will not work.This was tryed in the 90s with very poor results.I have had expereance with both styles of frame and ended up solid mounting them both.It was a good idea that will not work.

I believe that is why everyone only offers a softtail motor mount frame . The softtail is counterbalanced and has a oil bag.

The dyna motor mounted solid. Does it have a oil bag? or retain the bottom pan? I can't see a pan?
